The mission of Nebraska StoryArts is to preserve, perpetuate, and celebrate storytelling of all cultures and to nurture, sustain, and develop the storytelling community of tellers and listeners. Relying on a limited budget, a dedicated group of Nebraska StoryArts volunteer board members, contracted tellers and workers is fulfilling that mission by organizing and implementing an array of storytelling events. We produce the Moonshell Storytelling Festival. We conduct intensive coaching workshops for adults and produce a Storytelling Camp for 4th-8th grade boys & girls. We continue storytelling events in a performing arts series in cooperation with the Univeristy of Nebraska at Omaha's The Moving Company. We also produce outreach programming to schools, libraries and community agencies called StoryConnect in Omaha and Lincoln. We're a lively bunch.
