Nebraska Storytelling Festival
March 7, 2009

Join us for the Nebraska Storytelling Festival March 7 to center your mind, your heart and your story. The festival invites you to co-create the art of story. Professional storytellers and musicians will create the experience through word and sound while you, the audience, perceive the message and create personal mental images, co-creating the story.

Our professional staff of story creators will use workshops to enhance your understanding of story and storytelling performances to celebrate music, art, history and lively fun - but mostly stories. How will story work into your life? Are you a teacher? Librarian? Performer? Parent? Are you curious about how we share and heal our lives through story? You can join us for the whole day or stop by for a single workshop and/or performance. You will learn how to begin to create story or learn to do it better.

You will be a bit wiser and a bit more human as you make use of this ancient art to accompany and compliment your contemporary life. Invite others to join you to further discover the art of storytelling and the excitement of a well-told story that celebrates a myriad of cultures yet warms each individual heart with the sure call of this time honored tradition.
