In Our Own Voices:
Storytelling Camp 2011
for Students ages 9 - High School

Learn the art of storytelling with Antonio Rocha, award winning international storyteller, mime and actor. A native of Brazil, Antonio's unique solo shows of stories and mime have been performed in ten countries across five continents. Antonio began his career in the performing arts in 1985 and has studied with the great Masters Tony Montanaro and Marcel Marceau.

During the week, you will learn how to:

  • Select or create a story that fits you
  • Care for your voice
  • Develop characters and the place they live
  • Pace your words, use your body and voice
  • Use sound effects
  • Create accents and comic timing
  • Share spotlight with tandem tellings
